This month saw the release of Mazda’s new all wheel drive. We were called apon by Millbank Events to host the national media groups and Mazda ambassadors at our new Noosa North Shore’s private property which went exceptional well. Here is a few photos!
There is no doubt the climate for camping here on the Sunshine Coast is second to none. Beach side camping grounds like Cotton Tree Caravan Park and Coolum Caravan Park are just some of the perfect locations we can set up our deluxe tents for your weekend away.
Cotton Tree Caravan Park is a large park with lots of campers but it really gives you a sense of getting away from the normal routine and dropping back in time. The river mouth runs alongside the park and is perfect for swimming, stand up paddling, surfing and just relaxing out of any coastal breezes that might come up. The amenities are excellent and the local shops are all on hand for eating out or getting supplies. Coolum Caravan Park is also right in the heart of the small town of Coolum with all the shops and restaurants just down the road. Even though it is so close to the hustle and bustle, it only takes walking down the track to the beach to remember how beautiful the area really is.
So go camping soon and look us up at ..www.pitchluxurycamping.com for a really different take on camping.
The Noosa North Shore Camp Ground (http://www.noosaholidayparks.com.au/noosa-north-shore) is one of our favourite places for setting up our luxury tents. Why ? ..because firstly it can be accessed by 2wd and 4wd. It’s situated right behind the dunes and has reasonable amenities available. The best bit is the beach is car free!!.. so you don’t have to worry about the kids getting run over while they are playing on the beach.
We recommend camp sites 3 and 4 if your looking for a powered site option but when it comes to an unpowered sites there are heaps of good little spots out of the wind or sun which you can choose once you get there. The car ferry (http://www.noosanorthshoreferries.com.au ) at Tewantin is $7 each way which gives you a real sense of getting away from it all while still being close enough to Hasting Street if you want a bit of dinner etc.
Surfing, horse riding, beach fishing and 4wd driving up to Double island Point are all great activities to be enjoyed. Out tip is to try and stay away from public holidays where possible as the line up for the barge is unpleasant both ways.
We are big fans of the Boreen Point Camp Ground situated only 20 mins from Noosa Beach.http://www.noosaholidayparks.com.au/boreen-point This place feels like it’s a million miles away from the busy tourist strip of Hastings Street and has the ability to turn you into a pumpkin very quickly..a very relaxed pumpkin??
With one convenience store and a classic Aussie pub called the Apollonian Hotel, this part of Noosa is a must see. (http://apollonianhotel.com.au). The surrounding areas of Pomona and Kin Kin are also a great day trip but just hanging out in one of our beautiful tents by Lake Cootharaba and continuing the pumpkin thing works for me. (it’s getting late 🙂 )
Powered sites, hot showers and great managers.. Contact us today about us setting up a tent for you soon..A great spot for a wedding also!
Glamping, it’s the the camping of now. But, most of the glamping action we’ve laid eyes on are permanent setups. That’s not how it is with Pitch Luxury Camping. The pair behind this epic venture, Lisa and Tim, will pitch a stunning bell tent complete with beds and furnishings, wherever you decide. Basically, you book a campsite on the Sunshine Coast, they’ll set it up before you arrive, and then the ball is in your court. Pretty much one of the most romantic things to do on the Sunshine Coast.
Campers from the southern states mostly laugh at the idea that it is cold up here in the winter months. We might have a few colder nights that get down toward zero degrees but once the sun rises the temperature quickly comes back up to the mid 20’s.
At Pitch we think it is actually the best time of the year to glamp it up in one of our beautiful bell tents as it gives you much more time to enjoy your tent throughout the day as the temperatures are just perfect inside your tent for reading and just hanging out.
Clear, still nights under the stars around a beautiful open fire are nearly guaranteed, due to the stable weather patterns throughout winter, ensuring your booking all goes to plan.
Oil heaters, warm socks and our cosy bedding and decor will also be in place for the locals.
Reach out and let nature refresh your soul.
Kenilworth’s Yabbaloumba Retreat is the perfect place to unwind. Beautiful views, crystal clear creeks and beautiful bell tents all combine to make an amazing getaway location.
For those who love fly fishing, there is a generous sized dam stocked with Australian Bass, along with more in the freshwater creeks nearby, just waiting for the skilled fisherman!
