The Noosa North Shore Camp Ground (http://www.noosaholidayparks.com.au/noosa-north-shore) is one of our favourite places for setting up our luxury tents. Why ? ..because firstly it can be accessed by 2wd and 4wd. It’s situated right behind the dunes and has reasonable amenities available. The best bit is the beach is car free!!.. so you don’t have to worry about the kids getting run over while they are playing on the beach.
We recommend camp sites 3 and 4 if your looking for a powered site option but when it comes to an unpowered sites there are heaps of good little spots out of the wind or sun which you can choose once you get there. The car ferry (http://www.noosanorthshoreferries.com.au ) at Tewantin is $7 each way which gives you a real sense of getting away from it all while still being close enough to Hasting Street if you want a bit of dinner etc.
Surfing, horse riding, beach fishing and 4wd driving up to Double island Point are all great activities to be enjoyed. Out tip is to try and stay away from public holidays where possible as the line up for the barge is unpleasant both ways.
