Glamping in Australia

Bell tent glamping businesses are currently popping up all over Australia, with overnight camping taking on a whole new meaning. Queen size beds, donnas, luxury furnishings and everything else you might need for a comfortable stay in the Australian bush can now be hired.

European Glampers have been doing this new form of camping for some time now, with the English Bell tent alongside the Yurt and Teepee having a glorious resurgence after being used by the English in the world wars and antarctic exploration.

Bell tents has been well proven in all types of environments and are not only beautiful to the eye but can withstand high winds and terrible weather.

If you are looking to try out glamping, firstly ensure you find a reputable bell tent hire company as with any new business opportunity there are a number of novices and sharks out there wanting to promise the world and deliver something very different.

Things to look out for!

Ensure they have a couple of years experience in tent hire, recent feedback and quality testimonies on their web site. Make sure you ring them and have a chat about there current service and ensure the photos on their site are a true representation of what you will be arriving to.

Getting the tent you want is very important and so is ensuring it is well placed under shade in summer and out in the sun in winter. Discuss power and bathroom facilities as well as check out times so you won’t be disappointed.

Our company Pitch Luxury Camping prides it service on the little things, customer service, careful attention to the finishing touches, as well as tent placement and site choices to suit the individual’s needs.

We service family weekends, weddings, corporate events, hens nights, parties, romantic getaways and events of any size.

There is nothing else like sleeping under the canvas of a bell tent, the fairy lights shining through the night and the comfort of a queen bed to ensure a good nights sleep.

Corporate Glamping Events

The GM Holden Group joined us for a spot of luxury corporate camping on Noosa’s North Shore recently…Here is what they had to say.

We just wanted to pass on our thanks for your assistance with making our recent Sales Managers Trip a great success. The Tents were amazing, and really delivered that “wow” factor when our guests arrived, not to mention being very comfortable

Your chef Andy, was great to deal with, very flexible as to what we needed over the two days and the quality of the food was A1.

Overall you were great to deal with, and made organising this event a breeze. The ability to setup virtually in a location of our choice was also a great advantage.

We’ve had great feedback from all that attended and appreciate everything you did to make this a great event.

We look forward to working with you all again

Regards

Sunshine Coast Glamping

There is no doubt the climate for camping here on the Sunshine Coast is second to none. Beach side camping grounds like Cotton Tree  Caravan Park and Coolum Caravan Park are just some of the perfect locations we can set up our deluxe tents for your weekend away.

Cotton Tree Caravan Park is a large park with lots of campers but it really gives you a sense of getting away from the normal routine and dropping back in time. The river mouth runs alongside the park and is perfect for swimming, stand up paddling, surfing and just relaxing out of any coastal breezes that might come up. The amenities are excellent and the local shops are all on hand for eating out or getting supplies. Coolum Caravan Park is also right in the heart of the small town of Coolum with all the shops and restaurants just down the road. Even though it is so close to the hustle and bustle, it only takes walking down the track to the beach to remember how beautiful the area really is.

So go camping soon and look us up at  ..www.pitchluxurycamping.com  for a really different take on camping.

Noosa Glamping @ Noosa North Shore Camp Ground

The Noosa North Shore Camp Ground (http://www.noosaholidayparks.com.au/noosa-north-shore) is one of our favourite places for setting up our luxury tents. Why ? ..because firstly it can be accessed by 2wd and 4wd. It’s situated right behind the dunes and has reasonable amenities available. The best bit is the beach is car free!!.. so you don’t have to worry about the kids getting run over while they are playing on the beach.

We recommend camp sites 3 and 4 if your looking for a powered site option but when it comes to an unpowered sites there are heaps of good little spots out of the wind or sun which you can choose once you get there. The car ferry (http://www.noosanorthshoreferries.com.au ) at Tewantin is $7 each way which gives you a real sense of getting away from it all while still being close enough to Hasting Street if you want a bit of dinner etc.

Surfing, horse riding, beach fishing  and 4wd driving up to Double island Point are all great activities to be enjoyed. Out tip is to try and stay away from public holidays where possible as the line up for the barge is unpleasant both ways.

Glamping in Queensland this winter.

Campers from the southern states mostly laugh at the idea that it is cold up here in the  winter months. We might have a few colder nights that get down toward zero degrees but once the sun rises the temperature quickly comes back up to the mid 20’s.

At Pitch we think it is actually the best time of the year to glamp it up in one of our beautiful bell tents as it gives you much more time to enjoy your tent throughout the day as the temperatures are just perfect inside your tent for reading and just hanging out.

Clear, still nights under the stars around a beautiful open fire are nearly guaranteed, due to the stable weather patterns throughout winter, ensuring your booking all goes to plan.

Oil heaters, warm socks and our cosy bedding and decor will also be in place for the locals.

These school holidays have been quite adventurous! My family & I went glamping (is there any other way?!), for 3 nights. We had the most perfect weather with clear skies at night which helped create this amazing scene of our campsite and bonfire. Can’t wait to do it again! Hope you’ve all enjoyed a break from your busy lives too…
